Gift mural

One gift from every grandchild, across every household

One gift from every grandchild, across every household

A gift mural is a single picture made from drawings by everyone in a group — a class, a team, a family — printed and framed, or sent as a file.

Four households, nine cousins, three time zones, and you are the one who always ends up organizing the family present. A gift mural gets every grandchild into a single keepsake without a single phone call: one link forwarded to each family chat, each child draws their piece whenever suits them, and Grandma and Grandpa open a framed picture with every grandchild's name on it.

  • ▸Pick a heart, a house, a hot air balloon, a family camper or their initial.
  • ▸One link in the parents' group chat. No child account, no app, no sign-in, no email address from a kid.
  • ▸Each child draws their own piece with a finger on a parent's phone or tablet — about two minutes, and they never see anyone else's.
  • ▸You are not chasing signatures, sending a poster board home in backpacks, or collecting cash.
  • ▸When the last child draws, the finished picture is yours — $10 as a file, or framed and shipped to your door.

Set up your gift mural

Step 1 // Choose the occasion

Step 2 // How many patches?

Measuring this shape…

// One patch per artist. Leftover patches are filled with matching colors from the group's palette. The layout is set at purchase and never changes. // Every patch saves room for a paper tag, so every artist can leave a short note.

Step 3 // Choose your keepsake silhouette

MURAL_SHAPE_LOADED // THE HEART

Step 4 // Choose the drawing modeoptional

Our choice — we pick Blind-Patch unless you switch to Live Growth.

Each patch stays locked in total isolation. No one sees anyone else's artwork or messages until the final reveal — the finished mural appears all at once as one big surprise.

Step 5 // Give everyone a ruleoptional

A shared rule is what makes twelve different drawings look like one picture. Or skip it and let everyone do their own thing.

Step 6 // When do you need it in hand?

STEP 7 // PICK HOW YOU WANT IT

You get one link to send round. Everyone draws a piece without seeing anyone else's, and the whole picture appears when the last one lands. 12 pieces, one for each of them.

How it works

Three things you do, and nothing else.

  1. 1 · Pick the shape and the number of people. A soccer ball for the coach, an apple for the teacher, a heart for the grandparents — or their name.
  2. 2 · Paste one link into the group chat. Nobody makes an account, installs an app or signs in. They tap it and they're drawing.
  3. 3 · Give it. The moment the last person draws, the whole picture appears at once and your print-ready file is ready — or it arrives framed at your door.

Questions

Questions organizers ask.

What can all the grandchildren give their grandparents together?

A gift mural is a single picture made from drawings by everyone in a group — a class, a team, a family — printed and framed, or sent as a file. It's one picture — a heart, a house, a hot air balloon — made from drawings by every grandchild, with each child's name on their own piece. It arrives framed, as a poster with hanger rails, or as a file you can print yourself.

All the cousins live in different states. How do we pull this off?

That's the usual case and it changes nothing. Everyone gets the same link and draws their piece from wherever they are, on a phone or a laptop — no mailing anything between houses, no getting everyone in a room, no chasing addresses.

How many grandchildren can take part?

Between 4 and 25 pieces. Most families use the spare pieces for the adults — sons, daughters and in-laws usually want one once they see it.

My niece is 3 and my nephew is 12 — will it look messy together?

It won't, and the youngest ones are often the best part. A three-year-old's scribble sits beside a ten-year-old's careful drawing, which is exactly what makes it look like a family rather than a product.

Can the adults draw too?

Yes. Anyone with the link can claim a piece, so plan a few spares if you want the grown-up children in it as well.

Can the kids write something sweet as well as draw?

Yes. Each piece has room for a short handwritten note on a little paper tag, so you get their drawings and their words — misspellings and all, which is usually the part that gets Grandma.

Will it be easy for them to see?

Choose the larger print sizes if eyesight is a consideration — on a 24 × 36 inch print each piece is big enough to read across a room, and each child's name prints clearly beside their drawing.

When should we order for Christmas?

Send the link by late November for a printed piece: about five days for everyone to draw, then a few more to make and ship it. The digital file is ready within minutes of the last cousin finishing, so it works right up to Christmas Eve.

Can you ship it straight to Grandma and Grandpa's house?

Yes — enter their address at checkout and it arrives framed and ready to hang, with no invoice or pricing in the box. Or take the $10 file and print it yourself if you want to hand it over in person.

What if one of the grandchildren never draws their piece?

Unclaimed pieces fill with colors from the family's own palette, so the picture still looks complete and nobody's absence shows.
